Stephens County, Texas Seasonal Photography Contest

The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center is thrilled to announce our Seasonal Photography Contest, which celebrates the rich heritage, iconic landmarks, and stunning beauty of Stephens County, Texas.

This is not merely a one-time event; we will host four distinct photography contests, one for each season (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer). Each season will recognize its own $150 Grand Prize Winner. The winning photographs will be showcased on our social media platforms, featured in the 2027 Breckenridge Fine Arts Center Calendar, and included in a seasonal exhibit at the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center (BFAC). You can choose to enter one season or participate in all four — the decision is yours!

Seasonal Deadlines

Fall: Sept–Nov | Deadline: Dec 5, 2025

Winter: Dec–Feb | Deadline: Mar 5, 2026

Spring: Mar–May | Deadline: Jun 5, 2026

Summer: Jun–Aug | Deadline: Sep 5, 2026

➡️ Example: The Fall 2025 Photo Contest runs from September to November, with an entry deadline of Friday, December 5, 2025. All Fall entries will be exhibited at the BFAC from December 2025 through March 15, 2026.

Contest Rules & Guidelines

Entries must be submitted digitally through the official BFAC contest link for that specific season. Subject matter can include (but is not limited to) buildings, landscapes, architectural features, landmarks, and representative events in Stephens County, Texas. However, submissions should NOT focus primarily on a person or animal. AI-generated images are not permitted.

There is a $10 entry fee per submission. Multiple entries are allowed, but each photograph requires its own entry form. All submitted photographs must be original work, and the entrant must possess the rights to the image. Photos must be between 1 MB and 7 MB in size. While photos can be taken with a smartphone, they must be high-resolution, at least 300 dpi. If the image size does not meet these specifications, BFAC may resize it at their discretion.

By entering the photography contest, photographers grant BFAC royalty-free rights to reproduce and utilize submitted photos in both print and digital media, including for publicity purposes. Photo credit will always be given. Entries will be evaluated on content, quality, and artistry. All entries will be displayed in the BFAC Photo Contest Exhibit for that season.
